Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actor, playback vocalist and musician, who is predominantly in Tamil and Malayalam film languages. Annayum Rasoolum Malayalam film is her Malayalam debut as an actor. Andrea Jeremiah has been raised in the Tamil Nadu region in an Anglo-Indian home. Her father is a Madras High Court lawyer. Her younger sister is an assistant researcher from Belgium who works in Leuven. Jeremiah was brought up as a child in Chennai. He went to National Public School. After his graduation, he attended Women's Christian College. She has said that she was a geek and wanted to be a psychiatrist after passing the 12th grade of her board exams.Andrea began studying classical piano at the age of eight. Young Stars, a Jackson Five group that she was a part of when she was 10 was the foundation to sing and compose music. She worked as a stage artist at her college and was a part of in several productions in the form of The Madras Players, EVAM and other theatre groups. She was President of The Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's career started with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. In 2006, her role in the Leo Coffee commercial included Shiva. She also acted as a part of a character in the Podhigai series. She has appeared in all parts of India. She was a part of a short part in Kanda Mudhal, the 2005 final episode. After she rendered a song on Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu the director asked her to join as one of the lead female character in his next venture Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea portrays Kalyani who is married and mother of a man with an affair. Andrea was chosen to play the role after Simran and Tabu, two actresses who were contacted by producers. It was released early in the year 2010. In August 2011 Venkat Prabhu made his debut with the multi-starrer Mankatha. It was her turn to fill a smaller part in the film. Annayum Rasoolum was Rajeev's romantic flick that was released in 2013.
